Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Business & Distribution center at UCLH as a pharmacy distribution facilitator.
This is a key role within a busy, high performing distribution service responsible for the safe, efficient and timely supply of medicines across UCLH sites and external customers. You will support the co-ordination of distribution activities, supervise and line manage staff and help drive service improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Working as part of a large multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive their medicines safely and on time, while maintaining high standards in line with Good Distribution Practice and MHRA regulated requirements.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to prioritise workload and who has previous experience of working in pharmacy or warehouse setting.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support the daily supervision of the distribution service to meet operational demands
• Co-ordinate the receipt, storage, picking and checking and dispatch of medicines
• Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and MHRA standards
• To respond to queries and complaints immediately and adapt daily priorities accordingly
• Supervise staff and assist with training
• Assist with the Investigation of stock discrepancies, incidents and customer complaints
• To efficiently use the pharmacy computer system to manage stock control and assist in the maintenance of accurate stock levels
• Work collaboratively with pharmacy, procurement, transport and external customers
This job is based in a warehouse environment, not a hospital. You must be physically fit to be on your feet all day with the ability to undertake manual handling duties of 15-20kg daily.
