Job description:
Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for their workshop based in Nursling.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:30 (1-hour lunch break)
Friday: 08:30 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch break)
Total: 37 hours per week
Key Skills & Experience
Knowledge of workshop safety procedures
Experience with light assembly work
MUST have experience with CNC lathe operation (programming experience desirable)
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Duties
Maintain machinery, tools, and equipment in good working condition
Receive and follow build instructions from the Workshop Supervisor or Purchasing (where applicable)
Safely follow cylinder build and control panel assembly instructions
Assemble and test production orders in line with specifications
Inspect, check, and correctly label components
Diagnose, repair, and service returned items, restoring them to excellent condition
Operate and program CNC lathe machinery when required
Carry out regular workshop stock checks in liaison with the Stores Supervisor
Provide support to the Warehouse team when necessary
Plan, schedule, and monitor workload effectively
General Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
Adhere to all company health and safety standards
Liaise effectively with other departments when required
Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality control
Contribute to delivering the company’s first-class customer service
