York is a great place to live and work and is well above the national average in health, wellbeing and happiness. However, we know that isnt the case for everybody and that is where our 0-19 Healthy Child Service comes in. The City of York Council want to make a real difference and are passionate about putting the health back into Health Visiting and School Nursing. Rated Good by CQC, working as a Health Visitor and School Nurse in York offers a great opportunity to be pro-active in the delivery of the Healthy Child programme whilst providing a high-quality service to clients. As part of the Healthy Child Service team, you will be working alongside a range of partners providing support to children, young people and families across the Family Hub Network. The roles are based in Family Hubs across the city and there may be the opportunity for some home /hybrid working. We provide all of our contacts with children and families in person and encourage office presence to support team morale. Not only do we offer excellent support, training and development opportunities but also corporate membership with the Institute of Health Visiting or SAPHNA, a growing range of discounts, rewards and savings, Pension Scheme, comprehensive Health & Wellbeing initiatives and a reward package which recognises your contribution. If you are an innovative and forward looking Health Visitor or School Nurse with a passion for delivering good outcomes and ready to make a real difference please click apply, we would love to receive your application. PLEASE STATE WHETHER YOU ARE INTERTESED IN HEALTH VISITOR OR SCHOOL NURSE OPPORTUNITIES. As a new starter, your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team. Your working arrangements will vary according to your service and role, and the current Government guidance. For many roles, there will be more opportunities in the future for remote and hybrid working. However, this comes with the expectation that, as workplaces open up, there is likely to be an ongoing and occasional requirement to attend the workplace. Please note, we do not have a sponsorship licence to sponsor indivdiuals for visas to work in the UK, therefore we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. We can offer flexible working practices, community engagement and volunteer activities and, as part of our commitment to you, promote continuous Learning & Development.
