Summary
Join SPL as a Manufacturing Technician (Heat Treatment) Apprentice and begin your career in a specialist area of advanced manufacturing. This role focuses on heat treatment and surface processing, where you’ll learn how to process components in line with strict aerospace and company standards.
You’ll gain practical experience operating and monitoring equipment such as heat treatment ovens and vapour degreasing systems, as well as carrying out stainless steel passivation processes. Alongside this, you’ll learn the importance of maintaining full traceability of components, completing accurate documentation, and ensuring all work meets required quality standards.
Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll contribute to meeting production targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, following processes, and developing technical skills in a high-spec manufacturing environment, with excellent long-term career prospects.
