forward‑thinking Health & Safety Manager to lead the creation of a brand‑new national H&S function within our fuels business.
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of health and safety strategy, culture, and systems—without inheriting legacy
processes or managing a team. You’ll be the architect of a modern, robust, and scalable H&S framework that supports safe
operations across the UK.

Day to Day
* Design and implement a national health and safety strategy tailored to the fuels industry
* Develop policies, procedures, SSOW and compliance frameworks from scratch
* Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Provide expert guidance to operational leaders and frontline teams
* Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, industry standards, and best practice
* Build a positive, proactive safety culture across all sites
* Ownership of reporting, auditing & trend analysis
* Act as the organisation’s subject‑matter expert for all H&S matters
What will you bring?
* Proven experience within a Health & Safety Management role
* Experience within fuels or other hazardous materials is preferred
* Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and industry regulations
* NEBOSH Diploma
* Someone who thrives in a blank‑canvas environment and enjoys building systems from the ground up
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence at all levels
* A practical, hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently
