Community Children's Nurse with Interest in Long Term Ventilation Band 6 - 30 Hours Per Week.

Following internal promotions and progression, we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for experienced enthusiastic and passionate children’s nurses. If you have a passion for delivering outstanding nursing services to the children and young people (CYP) in our community, please get in touch. Part time/ and flexible working options can be considered.

Our children’s community nursing team is part of the wider CYP complex physical health service. You will join a team who are passionate about delivering excellent clinical nursing care to our patients in their home, in our special schools, and our residential respite setting. The role offers a valuable opportunity to be part of an innovative service, to display your nursing expertise and make a difference where it matters.

We are looking for compassionate and committed colleagues. You will be able to demonstrate experience in nursing CYP with a variety of medical conditions, including those with complex and palliative physical health needs. You will have an extensive portfolio of clinical nursing skills which will support the needs of our patients. If you share our passion for excellence, then we would love to speak to you.

You will work autonomously managing a caseload of CYP assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their nursing care. Your activities will be varied, including, but not limited to delivering clinical interventions, training parents, carers and staff from other agencies, and working with multi professional and multi-agency colleagues to support our CYP to achieve their best outcomes.

Our wider service is extensive and varied and can offer opportunities to work with CYP who are technology dependant, palliative care, respite care for medically complex CYP, CYP Continuing Care (CYPCC) and in our special school nursing services. No two days are the same, but each day counts.

You will be part of our 24-hour on call rota and will be supported by a compassionate and caring team who care for each other as we care for our patients.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide range of clinical skills. Good communication skills are essential. Community experience is desirable but not essential. Our service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and an Outstanding for care and compassion. We have been recognised locally and nationally for the services we provide by receiving awards in thecategories of collaboration, compassion, integrity and excellence.

At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), we put ‘people at our heart’; this ethos is at the centre of everything we do and how we do it.
