Nottingham Childrens Hospital is set within the vibrant city of Nottingham known for its many historical sites. The Childrens Hospital is housed within the Queens Medical Centre campus and has 116 inpatient beds across 8 inpatient wards covering all specialities. We are a major trauma centre, and the Childrens Critical Care Unit works closely with the Emergency Department in providing front line care for trauma patients. Nottingham Children's Hospital Critical Care provides an essential service for Neurology/Neurosurgical; Spinal/Orthopaedic; Oncology/Haematology; Respiratory; General Surgery and Rheumatology. The Hospital is also a provider of paediatric renal services for the region, which allows staff on the unit to be actively involved with kidney transplants and haemofiltration. This is a exciting time to join Nottingham Children's Hospital as we became the first Childrens Hospital in Europe to achieve pathway to excellence accreditation in 2020. This makes Nottingham Children's Hospital a special place to work. As a Unit we are actively involved in national research trials which are supported by a research team within the Trust.
