TeacherActive is currently recruiting a confident and reliable Secondary Cover Supervisor to work full-time in secondary schools in Glastonbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, graduate, or school-based professional looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a structured and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Lead whole classes during teacher absence

  
  

• Deliver pre-set lessons across KS3–KS4

  
  

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively

  
  

• Ensure students remain engaged and on task

  
  

• Support a positive and focused learning environment

  
  

  You’ll be working across a variety of subjects, gaining broad experience that is particularly valuable for those considering a future in teaching.

  Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

  This Role Would Suit Someone Who:

  • Has experience working in a secondary school or with young people

    
    

  • Is confident managing behaviour and leading a classroom

    
    

  • Is available to work full-time

    
    

  • Has strong communication and organisational skills

    
    

  • Is adaptable, professional, and dependable
