Summary

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

ROLE DESCRIPTION

In partnership with Gateshead Council- Learning and Skills, Central Support Service are looking to recruit two highly skilled and experienced individuals to undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistants Apprenticeship.

The position will entail a work placement within Central Support Service at Newcastle College.

The role will entail working with learners who have additional learning needs This may include learning/physical difficulties, personal care and access support, mental health & wellbeing difficulties, autism and blind or partially sighted. The role involves providing one to one, academic support or group support to learners on cross-college courses.

Experience or qualifications in supporting learners in a learning environment is an advantage. You need to be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills and an understanding of the issues and barriers learners with a learning difficulty and/or disability could encounter.

GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths are essential for this post and evidence of qualifications will be required prior to interview.
