Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-scale technology and digital transformation initiatives. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for full project lifecycle delivery, ensuring strategic alignment between IT and business objectives while driving projects to successful completion on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, commercial awareness, governance expertise, and strong technical understanding across software development, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
• Lead full lifecycle delivery of IT and digital transformation projects in AML domain, defining scope, objectives, governance frameworks, timelines, and success metrics
• Lead a team of engineers and data scientists to design, deliver, and refine detection models, rule sets, and monitoring systems.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, RAID logs, budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation models
• Drive Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or hybrid methodologies), facilitating ceremonies and promoting continuous improvement
• Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritisation, and roadmap planning
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes effectively
• Act as the primary liaison between IT, executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and third parties
• Provide clear, concise executive-level reporting including KPIs, financial tracking, and performance metrics
• Lead cross-functional teams across development, analysis, QA/testing, infrastructure, and cloud engineering
• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and third-party integrations
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, governance, and quality standards
• Contribute to PMO maturity, delivery standards, and governance improvements
Skills Required:
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (mandatory).
• 15+ years of IT project or delivery management experience.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale, multi-million-pound technology programmes.
• Strong experience delivering software development, infrastructure, and cloud-based projects.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and CI/CD practices
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency in tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar
• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and best practices
Mandatory Certifications:
• PMP (Project Management Professional).
• ITIL v3 Foundation.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Any Generative AI.
Core Competencies:
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder engagement
• Strategic thinking and business alignment
• Financial management and commercial awareness
• Risk identification and mitigation planning
• Leadership, coaching, and team development
• Conflict resolution and negotiation

Ideal Background:
Candidates who have previously held roles such as Senior IT Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Digital Project Manager, Agile Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, Infrastructure Project Manager, or Software Project Manager will be well-suited.
Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), digital transformation initiatives, ERP/CRM implementations, and vendor management will be highly advantageous.
