We are recruiting for a Vascular Network Data Coordinator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, and dedicated individual to work as part of the new Vascular Network team. The role would entail locating, collecting, scrutinising and validating data for National and Local audit projects.

The postholder will support a busy and varied work programme with the ability to prioritise and ensure that the multiple data tasks are completed on time. They will undertake analysis, report writing and presentations to support these activities ensuring that the highest quality data is collected and submitted.

A sound knowledge and understanding of computers and databases together with analytical skills are required for this post. Knowledge of medical terminology and the principles of clinical audit are essential.

Audit patient pathways, producing reports and providing analysis

Maintain the National Audits and Databases for Vascular and General Surgery – currently NVR (National Vascular Registry) and NELA (National Emergency Laparotomy Audit)

Audit, analyse and present monthly updates on the Vascular Network.

The extraction, analysis and inputting of data from proformas onto the databases

Develop in-depth knowledge of National Databases and train others when necessary

Support the Vascular Regional MDT with preparing MDT lists, support the entry of clinical outcomes and support the next steps within the patient’s pathway.

Maintain the Vascular Surveillance Pathways

Support the department in the scheduling of the Vascular Rapid Access Clinics

Support the AAA Screening Programme Manager with capacity and scheduling of AAA screening patients

Ensure timely distribution of medical correspondence for patients pathways across the Network
