Crynodeb
At Gofal Cymru Care, we are committed to delivering outstanding residential support services throughout Cardiff and the Vale. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for the teenagers and adults in our care by providing compassionate, person‑centred support. Our staff teams are highly trained, and we foster environments where both staff and residents feel safe, respected, and empowered to achieve.
We are currently looking for Driver Support Workers to join our teams in one of our small residential homes in Cardiff. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact—helping individuals develop new skills, build confidence, access the community, and enjoy meaningful experiences.
The Role
Based in one of our nine small (maximum six‑bed) homes across Cardiff, we offer full‑time or part‑time hours which include evenings, weekends, bank holidays, wake‑in and sleep‑in duties.
As a Driver Support Worker, a key part of your role will involve driving company vehicles to support individuals to attend appointments, activities, social events, and day‑to‑day outings. You will be enabling people to access the community safely and confidently.
We specialise in supporting children and adults with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury and mental health needs. We provide person‑centred care and support aimed at improving quality of life and promoting independence.
What We Are Looking For
Experience is helpful but not essential, as full training is provided. Above all, we are looking for people who share our values—caring, empathetic, compassionate, reliable, and willing to learn.
We are specifically looking for confident, responsible drivers who can safely drive our company vehicles as part of their daily role. You will be supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments, and take part in meaningful activities, so safe and reliable driving is essential.
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, energetic, and committed to helping individuals with complex needs live with less restriction and greater independence.
