Long Term Futures are recruiting a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a secondary school in Barking, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs and helping them access the curriculum in a structured secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class and small-group support across KS3 and KS4
- Support students with SEN and additional learning needs
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Promote engagement, inclusion and positive learning behaviours
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working in a secondary school setting (desirable)
- A patient, proactive and adaptable approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Background in SEN, youth work or education (desirable)
Location & Transport - Barking, East London
- Accessible via Barking Station (District, Hammersmith & City, Overground and C2C)
- Close to Upney and Becontree (District Line)
