Crynodeb

The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the Telford area for CNC operators/ shift supervisor!

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and basic programming of CNC machinery to produce high-quality components in line with engineering specifications and production targets.

Shift time:

Monday - Thursday 06:00-14:00

Friday 06:00-10:00

Payrate :

£12.47 per hour

CNC Operative Duties:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to job specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and job instructions
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling and fixtures as required
  • Run machine programs and make basic program edits or offsets when needed
  • Monitor machine operations and production runs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine or program issues, reporting faults when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area in line with health and safety standards
  • Complete production documentation, recording measurements, output, and any deviations
  • Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to meet production targets

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Operative or similar machine operator role
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of CNC machinery and tooling
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to use measurement instruments
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures and best practices
  • Flexibility to work shifts or overtime when required
