Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Director for Adult Social Services to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping and delivering high-quality services for adults in our community. The Deputy Director will work closely with the Director of Adult Social Services to oversee program development, implementation, and evaluation while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic planning and policy formulation to enhance services for adults with varying needs, including those with disabilities, mental health concerns, and older adults. Responsibilities
Assist the Director in managing the overall operations of Adult Social Services, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans aimed at enhancing service delivery and promoting social inclusion.
Supervise and mentor staff, providing support and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to coordinate services and resources for adults in need.
Monitor and evaluate service programs to ensure responsiveness to community needs and adherence to best practices.
Prepare and present reports on service performance, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
Manage budgets, resources, and funding allocations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of services.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
A minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role within adult social services or a similar field.
Strong knowledge of current legislation, policies, and best practices in adult social care.
Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams and foster a positive work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on service improvement.
Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
