A welcoming mainstream primary school in Bolton (BL3) is seeking a committed Level 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism. This is a rewarding, full-time role supporting a non-verbal child, requiring patience, consistency and relevant experience.
The Role:

Providing 1:1 support to a child with Autism within a mainstream classroom
Providing 1:1 support to a child with Autism within a mainstream classroom

Supporting a non-verbal pupil, using alternative communication methods (PECs, visuals, Makaton, AAC)
Supporting a non-verbal pupil, using alternative communication methods (PECs, visuals, Makaton, AAC)

Assisting with engagement, emotional regulation and access to learning

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to follow the child's EHCP
