Location Requirement

When you’re not working in the field, you’ll work from home, but we do require you to be based in Portsmouth or the surrounding areas. This ensures you can easily support local engineering tasks, travel to sites, and meet the needs of the role.

What You'll Be Doing (With Full Training!)

You’ll shadow and learn from experienced engineers, building skills in:

Installation & Maintenance:

Microwave radio systems
Fibre and copper transmission networks
Antenna, power, and electrical systems
Routine maintenance, inspections, and testing
Fault finding and troubleshooting

Survey's & Field Work:

Site and line-of-sight (LOS) surveys
Preparing survey notes and contributing to reports
Supporting system planning and materials prep

Health, Safety & Compliance:

Working at height training
On-site risk assessments
PPE management and equipment inspections
Ladder audits, first aid kit checks, and more

Team & Workshop Support:

Helping senior engineers on live projects
Preparing tools, equipment, and workshop materials
Being part of a supportive, close-knit field team

What We're Looking For:

You don’t need telecoms experience, just the right mindset.

An interest in engineering, technology, or hands-on problem solving
Willingness to learn and undertake safety/working at height training
A practical, can-do attitude
Reliable and happy to travel for site work
A team player with good communication skills
Full UK driving licence

A Role With Real Progression
