Summary
Levson GTECH UK is a UK-based advanced materials and heating technology company developing graphene heating films, conductive pastes, polymer encapsulation systems and energy-efficient thermal modules for agriculture, underfloor heating and industrial applications.
The role combines materials and chemical R&D with technical supply chain coordination between the UK engineering team and China-based material suppliers, R&D partners and manufacturing facilities. Because technical data, material specifications and engineering changes are exchanged daily with Chinese partners, the role requires Mandarin proficiency to ensure accurate communication and implementation.
This position supports scientific innovation, global product development and integration of R&D with manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct experimental research, laboratory testing, and performance optimisation of graphene heating films, conductive pastes, polymer encapsulation materials, and related composite systems.
• Design, refine and validate materials formulations to achieve improved thermal efficiency, electrical performance, mechanical durability, and environmental stability.
• Perform materials characterisation using SEM, FTIR, DSC, TGA, rheology, NMR/HPLC and other analytical techniques to support evidence-based engineering decisions.
• Evaluate engineering data, interpret experimental outcomes and recommend design or formulation improvements.
• Apply scientific modelling or data-analysis techniques (Python, MATLAB, R, Excel) to optimise materials properties and production parameters.
• Coordinate technical alignment between UK-based engineering teams and China-based material suppliers, R&D partners and manufacturing sites.
• Prepare bilingual technical documentation, material specifications and engineering records for patents, regulatory filings, certification, and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate with UK/EU partners on joint testing programmes, engineering evaluations and product-certification projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in materials or chemical R&D, laboratory experimentation or formulation.
• Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written) for technical communication with China-based suppliers and R&D teams.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and engineering specifications in both languages.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with scientific data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage R&D tasks.
