Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding role in a vibrant and inclusive primary school? We are seeking a dedicated HLTA to lead support for pupils joining outside normal transition points. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and help shape a new initiative within the school.
About the Role
- Lead interventions and support for pupils who are new to the school.
- Deliver small-group and one-to-one sessions.
- Support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
- Maintain accurate records and liaise with inclusion teams.
What We're Looking For
- HLTA status or equivalent experience.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths grade C or above).
- Recent professional development and safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake).
- Experience supporting primary-aged pupils and delivering interventions.
Desirable:
- Training in EAL or language acquisition.
- Trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience supporting families new to the UK.
