Cleaning Operative (Sessional)

Start Date: February 2026

Hours: 26.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent (Sessional)

Salary: Grade 1 Points 2 to 4

£24,479 per annum pro rata (pay award pending/subject to pending job evaluation)

West Lothian College are looking to appoint a Cleaning Operative. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable Estates and Sustainability team, you will be committed to the delivery of a high-quality service

The successful candidate should be able to carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the college procedures, instructions and health and safety requirements. A good general education is also necessary.

The shifts to work are as follows:

Monday – Thursday: 15:30pm – 21:00pm

Friday: 15:30pm – 20:00pm

This is a sessional role so you will only work during term time. Further details regarding being a sessional member of staff be found in the attached document.

Successful applicants will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Check which will be paid by the college and must be eligible to work in the UK.
