We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Technical Officer (ATO) to join our busy and friendly Pharmacy team at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in pharmacy, complementary care, and retail services to support the day-to-day running of our outpatient and retail pharmacy.
The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) is the largest public-sector provider of integrated medicine in Europe and offers patient-centred service integrating the best of conventional and complementary treatments for a wide range of conditions.

The RLHIM Pharmacy provides medicines and advice for patients attending outpatient clinics at the hospital and also serves the public as a retail pharmacy registered with the GPhC.

As an ATO, you will support pharmacists with the day-to-day running of the dispensary and the retail pharmacy. This will include but not limited to - retail stock management, processing of various orders and deliveries and invoices, good record keeping, daily posting of prescriptions, medicine handling and assisting in dispensing when required. You will also help maintain a clean and well-organised dispensary, assist, and provide friendly counter service to patients and the public. Good IT and computer skills are essential for this role. However, if you are not yet fully proficient, a willingness and commitment to learn will be vital.

We are seeking someone who is reliable, organised, adaptable and has good attention to detail. Effective communication and customer service skills are important, as is the ability to work well in a team. No prior experience is required, but an interest in complementary medicine will be helpful.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping people, is keen to learn, and would like to develop their skills within both a hospital and retail pharmacy setting.
