An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse to take on a clinical and professional leadership role in Paediatric Dermatology, St Thomas Hospital, London. This is a new role designed for an experienced and motivated nurse who is ready to take the lead in shaping the future of paediatric skin care.

The successful candidate will lead and manage a small team of Clinical Nurse Specialists, collaborating closely with dermatology consultants, doctors and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality, compassionate care. A key focus will be supporting the development and launch of our new Paediatric Day Treatment Centre, offering education, supervised topical treatments and practical therapies for skin conditions such as eczema, Iontophoresis, and Cryotherapy.

You will help design staff training, develop personalised skin care plans, support clinical pathways and shape the centre’s vision. We seek a dynamic leader with proven senior clinical experience and a strong record of improving patient and staff experiences in complex healthcare settings. If you’re passionate about advancing services and leading nursing teams’ professional growth, we encourage you to apply.

If you’re ready to make a lasting difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust comprises five of the UK’s best known hospitals – Guy’s, St Thomas’, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield – as well as community services in Lambeth and Southwark, all with a long history of high quality care, clinical excellence, research and innovation.

We are among the UK’s busiest, most successful foundation trusts. We provide specialist care for patients including heart and lung, cancer and renal services as well as a full range of local hospital and community services for people in Lambeth and Southwark.

We have a long tradition of clinical and scientific achievement and – as part of King’s Health Partners – we are one of England’s eight academic health sciences centres, bringing together world-class clinical services, teaching and research. We have one of the National Institute for Health Research’s biomedical research centres, established with King’s College London in 2007, as well as dedicated clinical research facilities.

We have around 22,700 staff, making us one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country and one of the biggest employers locally. We aim to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and continue to develop new and existing partnerships with local people, patients, and neighbouring NHS organizations, local authorities and charitable bodies and GPs.

We are looking for a hard-working, compassionate, dedicated, motivated, ambitious and flexible nurse—ideally with experience in Paediatric Dermatology. Non-medical prescribing is a key aspect of this role. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership throughout the patient pathway and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on service transformation, quality improvement and innovation initiatives. You will also run nurse-led clinics, conduct medication initiations, actively contribute to multidisciplinary clinics, audits and operational meetings. Opportunities to participate in teaching and research are strongly encouraged.

Applicants must have experience in leading nursing and clinical services, with a proven commitment to prioritising safety, quality and patient experience in all aspects of care.

The successful candidate will work autonomously but will have the support of the team of consultants, clinical nurse specialists, advanced nurse practitioners, unit sister and matron.
