Summary
Practice according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. Assess care needs for patients, planning, implementing and evaluating care for individual patients in conjunction with the need of learners. Facilitate the delivery of holistic nursing care using an individualised approach. Facilitate the delivery of high standards of nursing care. To be aware of risk situations and liaise with appropriate personnel Demonstrate awareness and act upon government initiatives in conjunction with the Ward Managers. To be competent in using incident reporting as per hospital policy. To be competent with all moving and handling techniques as per hospital policy To have in depth knowledge of orthopaedic and spinal surgery To be competent performing and providing training for all nursing clinical procedures carried out on Children and Young people. Discuss with patients/ carers and relatives any problems or changes relating to planned care and treatment within the role of Clinical Educator. Participates and facilitates in the promotion of patient education and health promotion in conjunction with staff and learners. To be able to competently administer intravenous medications.
