Summary

HR Administrator
Waverley Court

Salary: £26,337 - £28,835
Hours: 36 per week

The role of HR Administrator is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to expand their career in Human Resources and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to progress.

Key to this role is supporting managers and employees within the City of Edinburgh Council being part of a high-quality HR transactions service.
We're looking for an individual with a strong customer focus and a flexible approach with the ability to work in a demanding deadline driven environment. Developed literacy and numeracy skills is a huge advantage to the job holder as successful candidates will be expected to work with big volumes of data, run complex manual calculations and should be able to communicate unwelcome information in factual yet compassionate manner.

The ideal candidate will have HR experience or have been carrying out HR, Payroll and Recruitment tasks in their current employment, however, we are also open to applications from individuals who have a keen interest in working within HR.

We're planning to hold Interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday, 16 and 17 December, in person at Waverley Court.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we're bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we're changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/work-us/behaviours" target="_blank">Our Behaviours - The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Happy to talk flexible working.
