Carer/Support Worker Required

Are you a compassionate and caring individual looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in someone's life?
We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join an existing team to assist disabled young adult male within his Wolverhampton home.
Our client is looking to add to his caring support worker team to assist him and his family. Some of his carers have been with him for several years, forming a close bond with him.
As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will be:
• Assisting with personal care
• Driving his adapted vehicle
• Helping with swimming/hydrotherapy
• Administering medication
• Supporting him in daily activities such as going to the park, cinema, or pub.
Previous experience would be an advantage, but being the right fit for him and his family is more important.
As his Support Worker you will need:
• A full, clean driving licence
• To be able to swim, as this is one of his favourite activities
• To be able to communicate fluently in English
• To have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years
• To be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check
• To live within a 30-minute drive to Wolverhampton.
As this role is very specific, we ideally need to take on a Female applicant in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 *.
We are primarily looking for somebody to be available to work weekday morning shifts, with occasional availability for evenings and weekends.
This is a part-time role (for c 10-12 hours per week) with various shifts available between 7am and 10pm. Occasional sleep-in shifts, and on-call shifts will be required. Additional shifts may also be available.
The salary offered is £15.25 per hour, with an enhanced hourly rate of £17.25 for weekend shifts and £90 per sleep-in shift.
This is a fabulous opportunity for a rewarding career, to make a difference in a young person's life, and to join a loving family and team.
If you are interested in this role, please apply and send your CV to rorj14@outlook.com.

*Occupational Pursuant to Para 1 Schedule 9 of Equality Act 2010
