Summary
We're seeking a committed Outreach Worker to join the team in Rochdale, supporting people who have experienced homelessness and remain within the system. You'll work with a small but complex caseload, requiring strong knowledge of local housing and support processes, and the ability to navigate multi‑agency partnerships effectively.
This is a temporary role until early 2026, with the chance to apply for the permanent position.
It's a full‑time, on‑site role (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm). We are offering hourly rates between £17.10 and £19.30
The position involves lone working and close collaboration with partner agencies, so previous experience in the field is essential - we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
An Enhanced DBS check is required.
Your new role
- Provide direct outreach support to individuals with complex needs.
- Manage a small but intensive caseload, ensuring continuity of care.
- Navigate housing, benefits, and social service processes to secure support.
- Liaise with local agencies, health services, and housing providers.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and reporting requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with people experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantages.
- Strong understanding of housing/homelessness legislation and local processes.
- Ability to manage complex cases with empathy and resilience.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently within a supportive team.
- Enhanced DBS is required.
