This is a full-time, fixed-term role until September 2026 (maternity cover).

About the Home

The Old Post Office is a warm, welcoming residential home supporting children and young people aged 8–18 with complex needs and behaviours. Build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence, emotional well-being, and personal growth.
Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals to support each young person's journey.
Contribute to the day-to-day running of the home, including cooking and cleaning.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe, supportive environment at all times.
What We're Looking For

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or a willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
A genuine motivation to create a safe, empowering space for young people.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays.
Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable, but not essential—we value the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
