Launch Your Career in Education as a Learning Support Assistant!
Are you a graduate from a top UK university looking to make a real difference in young people’s education?
Do you thrive on mentoring, supporting, and inspiring students?
Are you considering a career in teaching, SEN, or educational leadership and want hands-on classroom experience first?
We are seeking ambitious graduates to join a leading school in Islington, celebrated for its inclusive ethos, high academic standards, and innovative approach to learning support. This is your chance to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, and build a strong foundation before pursuing teacher training or a specialist SEN career.
Key Details:
• Salary: £25,000+ per annum OR minimum £100 per day
• Temporary long-term or fixed-term contract (until July)
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, term-time only
• Excellent transport links across London
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who need extra guidance, including pupils with EHCPs, learning difficulties, or additional educational needs. You will support teachers in delivering lessons, assist with small-group interventions, and help create an inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
Your role will include:
• One-to-one and small-group support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Assisting teachers in differentiated lesson delivery
• Monitoring and reporting pupil progress
• Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Contributing to enrichment activities and learning interventions
The school features modern classrooms, dedicated learning hubs, and specialist SEN resources, providing an environment where graduates can develop skills in mentoring, behaviour management, and curriculum support. With guidance from experienced teachers and the SENCo, you will gain invaluable experience that sets you apart for teacher training, educational psychology, or specialist SEN pathways.
This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious graduates to build hands-on experience, make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning journeys, and prepare for a future in education.
If you’re driven, empathetic, and ready to support students, develop professionally, and kickstart your teaching career, we want to hear from you.
