Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday.

Commutable from: Twickenham, Teddington, Kew, Barnes, Mortlake, East Sheen, Kingston upon Thames, Hounslow, Isleworth, Brentford (approx. 30 mins public transport / 45 mins driving).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School located in Richmond. This school fosters a culture of structure and positive behaviour management, creating an excellent workplace for a committed professional.

The position, starting in January, is offered on a long-term basis with a view to becoming permanent. You will work closely with all teaching staff to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment for every child.

The school is easily accessible from surrounding areas in South West London and Surrey.

Your responsibilities:
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to identified pupils.
- Implement pro-active and successful strategies to assist children with emotional self-regulation.
- Cultivate robust, professional, and respectful relationships with students.
- Utilise de-escalation techniques effectively and maintain a calm approach during challenging incidents.
- Contribute meaningfully to pupils' development by nurturing their social, emotional, and behavioural skills.

About you:
- Proven experience in supporting children's behaviour within an educational or school setting.
- A comprehensive understanding of different behaviour management and support methodologies.
- The critical skill of remaining composed and stable in demanding situations.
- Able to build strong rapport and make a significant impact on pupil engagement.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS check or be willing to submit an application immediately.
