Do you believe sport can change the way a young person sees themselves?
Do you love the idea of using movement, conversation, and connection to help someone feel safe, valued, and ready to move forward?
If that sounds like you, we'd love to introduce you to a brilliant alternative sports provision near Eastleigh - a small, nurturing setting for young people who haven't found their place in mainstream school yet.
It's not your typical education environment.
There's no loud bell, no rigid timetable, no pressure to perform.
Instead, think:
A calm space.
A friendly chat to start the morning.
A cup of tea.
A walk around the field.
A moment to breathe, reset, and begin again.
This is a place built on relationships - the kind of place where small breakthroughs mean everything.
Your days won't look like a PE lesson with whistles and stopwatch timings.
Think gentler, more relational, more human.
You'll be:
- Supporting young people aged 9-16 with 1:1 mentoring and light sports activity
- Helping them build confidence, resilience, and trust at their own pace
- Starting the day with relaxed, friendly check-ins
- Encouraging independence - whether that's making toast or choosing their morning activity
- Joining students for walks, outdoor play, ball games, fishing, or a chat on the sidelines
- Using fantastic nearby rugby and cricket facilities for structured sessions
- Celebrating the tiniest progress - because here, tiny can be huge
- The team is genuinely lovely - warm, grounded, and family-feel
- The environment is peaceful, green, and gives young people space to breathe
- There's a real focus on wellbeing and emotional safety
- The leadership team invests in you, not just the students
- No rushing. No pressure. Just real connection, every day
It's the kind of workplace where people stay because they love the work and each other.
- You might have worked in sport, coaching, youth work, support work… or you might simply have the right heart
- You're patient, warm, and naturally calm
- You communicate in a way that makes young people feel heard
- You don't sweat the small stuff - you understand behaviour is communication
- And you believe a chat, a laugh, or a tiny moment of trust can turn someone's whole day around
- Full-time, 8:30am-3:30pm (Monday - Friday)
- Start date: ASAP
- £93 per day, 12-week temp-to-perm route
- Free training, including Team Teach
- Based in Eastleigh with easy access to the M3
You're welcome to pop in for a visit - meet the team, have a coffee, and feel the atmosphere for yourself. It's the best way to understand why people love working here.
