About the Role:

Our client, a respected housing association, is looking for a proactive and community-focused Neighbourhood Response Officer to join their team for a 4-month assignment. In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining safe, clean, and well-managed neighbourhoods where residents feel supported and proud to live.
You will be responsible for supporting vulnerable customers, resolving tenancy issues, addressing anti-social behaviour (ASB), and working collaboratively with residents, local partners, and internal teams. This is a customer-facing role that involves daily travel across neighbourhood patches, either from home or from the office.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and implement neighbourhood plans and local service offers


Conduct regular estate inspections and ensure fire safety actions are completed


Build relationships with resident groups and support events and community projects


Liaise with local authorities, police, and partner agencies regarding safety and ASB


Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate neighbourhood services


Provide support to customers in tenancy breach, welfare needs, or those requiring signposting


Carry out tenancy viewings, sign-ups, and assignments


Represent the organisation at court hearings (e.g. evictions, stays)


Perform property condition checks and support during major incidents or decants


What You’ll Need:



Own vehicle and the ability to travel across patches


Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload across multiple locations


Basic DBS clearance


Proficiency in general IT skills (CRM systems, databases, Outlook, reporting tools)


Strong customer service and community engagement skills


Ability to build positive relationships across teams and partner organisations


Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills


Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure


Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Experience in housing, neighbourhood management, customer services, or similar roles


Willingness to work occasional early evenings and weekends when required
