Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SEND and Adaptive Provision Teacher to join our fantastic team at MEA Central

Core Purpose:

To lead high-quality teaching, targeted intervention and flexible, needs-led provision for students with complex SEND , significant SEMH needs, extended absence, or who require structured reintegration back into mainstream lessons. Also students with barriers to learning, and a range of vulnerabilities.

This is a permanent position on Teaching Terms MPS-UPS.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide adaptive teaching across core curriculum areas
• Leadsmall-group and one-to-one provision, combining timetabled support with responsive, high-need intervention
• Stabilise and support learners in crisis or dysregulation
• Deliver short-termrespiteteaching that maintains academic continuity
• Overseereturn-to-lesson plansand reintegration pathways
• Support severely absent students with catch-up, confidence building and re-engagement
• Work collaboratively with SEND, pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure safe, consistent provision
• Track progress, attendance and engagement precisely
• Model trauma-informed, relational practice

• Increased capacity across the Inclusion and Pastoral teams

• Maintaining inclusivity without a Skyline/Removal base
