Salary between £36,270 and £37,440. PERMANENT POSITION
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including steel sections and sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Fabricate components and assemblies from various materials, primarily sheet metal.
Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to perform welding tasks.
Assemble parts and structures according to specifications and drawings.
Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in fabrication tasks.
Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.
Previous experience is required in the following areas.
Mig Welding and Fabrication
Qualifications
Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with steel sections and sheet metal.
Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to fabrication work.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient and experienced with MIG welding techniques and TIG welding is highly desirable.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full time and permanent position
Monday to Friday, and starts are 0600-0800.
£15.50-£16.50 per hour.
