Your new company

Step into a global powerhouse in engineering and infrastructure solutions, trusted by governments and enterprises worldwide to deliver projects safely, sustainably and at scale. This organisation is renowned for its resilience, compliance and innovation, and is investing heavily in health, safety and environmental excellence to protect its people and future‑proof its operations. As the financial year draws to a close, it is seeking a dynamic Head of HSE to provide continuity and leadership at a critical moment, ensuring its safety vision remains uncompromisingly strong.

Your new role

As interim Head of HSE, you will take centre stage in shaping and driving the organisation's safety strategy. You will lead a large, high‑performing team, instilling confidence and consistency across multiple business units. At the same time, you will oversee the rollout of a new health and safety system, embedding digital processes that enhance compliance and streamline reporting. This is a role that demands presence and authority: you will be the voice of HSE at board level, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable solutions, and championing a culture of safety and resilience that resonates throughout the organisation. With the financial year end approaching, your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring alignment, readiness and credibility at every level.

What you'll need to succeed

You will already be a proven Head of HSE or HSE Director, with a track record of leading large teams and delivering safety programmes across complex, multi‑site organisations. Your expertise in legislation, risk management and compliance frameworks will be matched by your ability to communicate with clarity and gravitas in front of senior stakeholders. Experience of implementing new health and safety systems or digital platforms will set you apart, as will the resilience, commercial awareness and confidence to deliver under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

What you'll get in return

Alongside a competitive daily rate of £750, you will have the opportunity to lead a large team, oversee the implementation of a new safety system and influence the organisation's HSE strategy at a defining point in the financial year. This is your chance to make a lasting impact within a global enterprise, gaining exposure to senior leadership and shaping the future of safety culture.
