Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and learner-focused Depute Head Teacher to join our team at Borestone Primary. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic leader who is committed to improving outcomes for children and supporting the whole school community.
The successful candidate will also take on the role of Pupil Support Coordinator, playing a central role in ensuring every child achieves their potential.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Establish a strong, multidisciplinary leadership team and build a learning community that takes pride in its children and their achievements.
- Put GIRFEC values at the heart of their work, ensuring that every child is supported, nurtured and challenged.
- Communicate effectively with children, staff, parents, and external partners.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in school improvement and raising attainment.
- Lead and inspire a large team of teaching and support staff to achieve their best.
- Work collaboratively at school, cluster, and local authority levels.
- Show evidence of making a positive difference to children’s learning and lives.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold (or be working towards) a recognised leadership qualification.
- Have strong strategic leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, support and motivate others.
- Be confident in using data to inform practice and drive improvement.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships across the school community.
- Have a deep understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, inclusive practice, and continuous professional learning.
