The Opportunity
Barnsley College is seeking a proactive and skilled Technician to join our Creative Arts team within the Sixth Form. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning by ensuring our specialist facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare learning spaces, set up and dismantle equipment, and manage resources effectively. Your contribution will help create a safe, inspiring environment for students to thrive in their studies.

About you
We are looking for someone who is:
• Organised and detail-oriented, with excellent IT and record-keeping skills.
• Experienced in a technical support role, ideally with at least one year in a similar environment.
• Qualified to Level 3 in a relevant subject, with GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, risk assessments, and first aid is desirable.
You’ll be a team player with strong communication skills, able to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people is essential.
