The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership that ensures leadership in highways best practice, innovation, and value for money. They will inspire and empower teams through motivational leadership, embedding a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.
They will manage services effectively within agreed budgets, champion environmental and social responsibility, and deliver infrastructure that supports community wellbeing and economic growth. Flexible in approach, they will undertake site visits, attend evening or weekend meetings as required, and contribute fully to the wider strategic management while upholding the responsibilities of a politically restricted post.
