Our client, a well-established educational institution in London, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £24,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the academic, social, and emotional development of these students by adapting teaching materials, implementing personalised learning plans, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of SEND and a genuine passion for working with children and young people. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the students under your care.

Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons and activities
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND
- Monitoring and recording student progress and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Encouraging student participation and engagement in the classroom
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Attending and contributing to meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of one year's experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. , NVQ Level 2 or 3, Teaching Assistant Certificate)
- Knowledge of the UK curriculum and SEND Code of Practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with diverse learners
