Our client, a well-respected educational institution in Swinton, Manchester, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. As a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the class teacher to create and implement individualised learning plans tailored to each student's unique requirements
- Providing one-to-one support and small group interventions to ensure students receive the necessary attention and guidance to thrive academically and socially
- Adapting teaching materials and resources to accommodate the specific learning styles and abilities of SEN students
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with the class teacher and other relevant staff members
- Assisting with the management of student behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and development
- Supporting students with personal care needs, such as hygiene and mobility, as required
- Collaborating with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education and well-being

To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Proven experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- Excellent understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students and strategies to support their learning and development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping every student reach their full potential
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students and the changing demands of the classroom environment
- Proficiency in using technology to support learning and record-keeping
