Rate: Up to £725 per day via an approved umbrella company

Our client, a reputable organisation supporting critical infrastructure projects, is hiring for a talented Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join their technical team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and validating automation components that support the projects Platform, primarily using PHP and Javascript, with a focus on hardware features, services, and configurations via REST and SOAP APIs.

What you'll be doing:

* Develop and automate infrastructure components, creating zero-touch, parameterised deployment packages that are reliable and repeatable.
* Write production-quality code following industry standards, internal policies, and version control best practices.
* Produce and review design artefacts at all levels, supporting system testing and troubleshooting activities.
* Collaborate with Service Management to resolve issues efficiently.

What you'll bring:
* Demonstrable experience creating PHP and Javascript web services, utilising REST and SOAP interfaces.
* Hands-on experience with automated deployment of server, network, and storage technologies across multiple vendors.
* Proven ability to support large infrastructure environments and troubleshoot hardware or software failures.
* Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
* Competency in MS Office Suite.

Desirable:
* Experience working within the public sector, especially Defence, and delivering secure, accredited solutions.
* A university degree in Computer Science or related field.
