What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Finance Business Partner to support our Finance team in managing accounting entries, reconciliations, cashflow, and departmental budgets. You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner and department heads to ensure accurate financial reporting, support planning, and contribute to the smooth running of financial processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting & Reconciliations - Prepare and maintain monthly accounting entries, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Cashflow & Treasury Support - Assist with cashflow preparation, intercompany payments, and liaise with the Cashflow and Treasury Manager.
• Budget Management & Financial Planning - Support the Finance Business Partner in departmental budget monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Reporting & Financial Analysis - Prepare reports, support the preparation of accounts, and maintain financial models for budgets and planning.
• Stakeholder Support & Process Improvement - Work with department heads, assist with ad hoc projects, and contribute to improving financial processes and data accuracy.

Key Requirements:

• Accounting Knowledge – Experience in preparing accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning – Ability to support departmental budgets, forecast variances, and assist with financial models.
• Analytical & Detail-Oriented – Strong numerical and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Communication & Collaboration – Able to work effectively with Finance Business Partners, department heads, and other stakeholders.
• Proactive & Organised – Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support process improvements.
