Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Working pattern: 24 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 09.30am - 2.30pm, Friday 10.00am - 2.00pm, (some flexibility on start and finish times providing that the core requirement of covering break and lunchtime duties are met) Term time plus Inset days only Actual starting salary for 24 hours pw (calculated pro rata): £15,230 per annum. Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

The Burgess Hill Academy are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Library and Literacy Support Assistant to join the team. The Library and Literacy Support Assistant will be responsible for managing, developing and promoting the Academy Learning Resource Centre as an effective source for learning and a cross-curricular whole Academy resource. They will also teach literacy and reading skills across the Academy, including 1:1 and small group work, guided reading activities, managing the accelerated reader system and working as a Learning Support Assistant in some KS3 English lessons.
