Are you someone who values the risk management profession and is ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a self-motivated and proactive Corporate Risk Officer to join our Risk and Insurance Team at Renfrewshire Council.

As Corporate Risk Officer, you’ll play a key role, reporting to our Strategic Risk & Insurance Services Manager, embedding risk management across the organisation, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring good risk management makes a positive difference.

It is essential you hold a degree in Risk Management or have equivalent experience in a risk management related role aswell as experience of delivering risk management initiatives and providing guidance and advice on risk management in a large, complex organisation.

You must have experience in effective capture and reporting of risk information, design and monitoring of meaningful key performance indicators for risk management requiring analytical skills and experience in delivery of risk training to a range of stakeholders.

Knowledge of relevant risk management standards, principles and terminology and how they are applied to add value to an organisation and highly developed communication skills with the ability to deal confidently with all levels of management and deliver training to stakeholders is also essential.

You must be competent in the use of technology and information gathering, such as Office365 applications and the use of information systems and databases.
