Salary: NMW (£25,396 pro rata based on 26 hours per week)

The Governing Board and Director of Elysium Training are seeking to appoint caring, committed and motivated Learning Support Assistants to join our growing team. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who want to support children and young adults with additional needs, helping them to feel safe, included and able to succeed.
About Us
Elysium Training is a Specialist Provider of Alternative Education based in the heart of Leigh. We work with learners who have SEND, primarily those whose primary need is SEMH. We provide an alternative education to young adults who have a flair for construction and want to learn the skills and knowledge needed to progress in this industry. We also offer Functional Maths and English, Careers and Preparation for Adulthood.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- support learners in classroom, workshop and small-group settings;
- promote emotional safety, engagement and positive behaviour;
- help learners develop skills, confidence and independence;
- work collaboratively with teachers, the SENDCo and pastoral staff.

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applicants who are:

Experience in SEND/SEMH settings or vocational education is helpful but not essential. Training and support will be provided.
Safeguarding & Professional Conduct
All staff at Elysium play a vital role in creating a safe, stable and supportive environment for every learner. All employees must;
- Uphold Elysium Training’s safeguarding responsibilities in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025) and local authority procedures.
- Maintain professional conduct, boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
- Understand and mitigate the additional safeguarding vulnerabilities of learners with SEND/SEMH.
- Promote online safety, safe relationships and emotional wellbeing.
- Report all safeguarding concerns immediately to the DSL or Deputy DSL.
- Demonstrate integrity, respect, and inclusion in line with Elysium Training’s values and professional expectations.
- Participate in mandatory safeguarding, Prevent, first aid, H&S and CPD training.
- Support accurate safeguarding and attendance records in line with Elysium procedures.
