The Headteacher, Governors and children of our friendly school are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to work with the Rainbow provision. This is our special educational needs resource provision. We have three small classes for children who have a diagnosis of autism.
All posts will work under the direction/supervision of teaching staff. Applicants are required to be enthusiastic, warm and friendly, and experienced in supporting children with a range of learning difficulties, preferably with a background in behavior support. The job will include a contribution to the delivery of a differentiated curriculum enabling meaningful inclusion and access to learning.
You will:
- Enjoy working with children.
- Work well with other staff and agencies.
- Be well motivated, have a positive attitude and be emotionally resilient.
- Have the ability to work in a 1:1 situation and to teach small groups.
- Have the ability to work in all areas of the school starting at EYFS up to Year 6 including the Rainbow Unit and Nursery.

This is a temporary contract linked to funding for specific children, and will end when the children leave the school.

Candidates will be expected to complete an activity with a small group of children from the Rainbow provision and if successful will be interviewed. Details will be provided.
