Summary

Join Our International Client in Felling as a Indirect Procurement buyer

In this role, you will lead and drive the buying process for your assigned area, ensuring competitive pricing, optimal service, and quality standards under the best possible terms and conditions.

You will also support the implementation of global category strategies and contribute to the development of regional strategies within your geographic responsibility, working closely under the guidance of the relevant Global or Regional Category Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Source, support and facilitate the acquisition of goods and services.
  • Support the attainment of procurement goals, both global, regional and local, related but not limited to saving, cost avoidance, supplier reduction, payment term improvement, catalogue buying, process improvement, sustainability, etc.
  • Create and maintain relevant data for seamless execution of NPR buying process. Such data include but not limited to vendor information, catalogue, approval workflow, risk profile, data related to requisition and order etc.
  • Ensure that all commercial contracts are executed in compliance with company policy, especially in area of legal requirement, approval & signing authority and contract life management.
  • Perform spend analysis to identify and drive opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, payment term harmonisation, contract coverage and catalogue expansion. At the same time, identify risk pertaining to conflict of interest, split purchase, classification errors and policy non-compliance.
  • Execute S2C process professionally, including but not limited to supplier sourcing, competitive bidding, negotiating, bid analysis & evaluation, award, contracting, progress tracking, payment, risk management, SHE, warranty, service agreement, performance review, etc.
  • Interacts with multiple stakeholders within the country/ cluster of countries to understand potential challenges and business requirements to be addressed.
  • Resolve most of the operational issues related to P2P promptly. Failing so, escalate it timely/prompt and follow through resolution strictly.
  • Creates awareness of the relevant policies, rules and procedures among users. Train and educate users on the use of system, like Procurement card and catalogue buying.
  • Constantly review relevant processes and make improvement or recommendation when required, proof continuously improvement mentality.
  • Supports / leads local projects as and when assigned.


What We're Looking For

Qualifications/ Education:

  • Professional procurement accreditation will be an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a country purchasing role with an international understanding
