Salary: Grade 6, Scale Points 15-18, £32,325 - £34,721Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch daily).
Flexibility required for weekly meetings and occasional evening events.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Personal Assistant to join our dedicated team at Rushey Mead Academy. This is a pivotal role providing professional, confidential and efficient support to the Principal and senior leadership team, ensuring the smooth running of the Academy’s operations. The role also includes supporting marketing and communications to promote the Academy’s achievements and maintain a strong public profile.
Key Requirements of the Post
The successful candidate will manage the Principal’s daily workload, including arranging meetings, keeping diaries up to date and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, telephone calls and correspondence. You will exercise sound judgement in managing access to the Principal and provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, including assisting the Chair of the Academy Council, processing management information, preparing formal reports, arranging and servicing meetings, and organising events logistics and hospitality.
You will co-ordinate, facilitate and manage internal and external events for the Academy and occasionally in conjunction with the Trust, including staff wellbeing and social events. Attendance at internal and external meetings will be required, with responsibility for taking accurate minutes at meetings.
The role involves liaising effectively with clerical and administrative staff, parents, local authorities, government agencies and the Academy Council. You will also support the administration of recruitment and selection processes for the Academy, contribute to the Academy’s social media platforms with news, vacancies and key achievements, and assist with marketing and communications activities such as drafting content for newsletters, press releases and website updates.
In addition, you will have line management responsibility, complete statistical and management reports, and maintain relevant databases and electronic returns.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with administrative systems.
• Knowledge or experience in marketing and communications would be an advantage.
• A flexible approach to working hours to accommodate meetings and events.
