The Role – Behaviour SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a confident, resilient, and proactive Behaviour SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Islington as soon as possible. In this role, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional, or social support, both inside and outside the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group behaviour support


Implementing behaviour strategies and personalised support plans


Assisting the class teacher with creating a positive, structured learning environment


Helping pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and positive learning habits


Working collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals


The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management skills, experience supporting pupils with SEN (particularly SEMH, ASD, or ADHD), and a calm, nurturing approach. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives.
