Note: This post is ring-fenced to Building Maintenance Team Leaders and Maintenance Officers currently working within the Repairs Delivery structure.

Job Purpose: To assist the Principal Repairs Officer – Repairs Delivery to provide a locally responsive, efficient, effective, customer focused, local repairs and maintenance service. Be responsible for achieving key performance targets locally. Ensure that statutory requirements are met and that the Service’s responsibilities are carried out to the highest standards within the area.

To be responsible for the management and supervision of staff within the operational area.

Requirements

  • Suitable technical qualification (Construction in the Built Environment HNC/HND/Degree) or be willing to undertake College studies to attain this.
  • Significant experience of the Built Environment and repairs background required, including a practical knowledge of common property defects and competent diagnostic skills.
  • Experience of supervision/management of staff within a construction trade focussed environment.
  • Suitable Health and Safety training/qualifications in Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely.
