Are you an exceptional educator with a passion for making Maths and Science exciting, relevant, and accessible for every learner? Do you thrive on developing others, shaping curriculum, and seeing your subject come alive in creative and meaningful ways?
Armley Grange School is looking for an exceptional Subject Lead for Maths & Science — a dynamic and creative educator who can spark curiosity, nurture confidence, and shape a curriculum that empowers every learner to achieve their full potential.
About the Role
As our Subject Lead for Maths & Science, you’ll bring both subjects to life across the school — making learning meaningful, engaging, and accessible for every pupil.
You’ll play a key leadership role in developing and delivering high-impact, creative teaching that connects theory to real-world experiences. Through your subject knowledge and enthusiasm, you’ll help shape the direction of Maths and Science and support colleagues to deliver excellence every day.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
Lead, plan, and deliver an inspiring Maths and Science curriculum tailored to meet a diverse range of abilities and learning needs
Embed trauma-informed and relational approaches that promote engagement, confidence, and resilience
Use assessment and data effectively to track progress, inform planning, and celebrate achievement
Mentor, coach, and collaborate with colleagues to support professional growth and consistency
Champion creativity and cross-curricular learning, making STEM subjects relevant and exciting
Model outstanding classroom practice, demonstrating passion, innovation, and inclusivity
Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement and curriculum innovation
Ensure safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion are at the heart of every aspect of teaching and learning
This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented teacher ready to take the next step into subject leadership – or for an experienced middle leader seeking a new challenge in a nurturing and aspirational environment.
